Marielle & Barrett- Engagement Session

Last week we saw Marielle and Barrett’s aaaaaaaamazing wedding. This week we get to see their adorable engagement session. Barrett’s family owns a ranch outside of Gatesville and that was where we got this amazing scenery!  It was filled with beautiful trees, flowing springs and gorgeous fields.

They were both so sweet to me as I was VERY pregnant, this was the last session I did before going on maternity leave. They brought me water and both were constantly asking if I was doing ok in the heat. You just can’t get much sweeter than these two, I tell ya!

I loved their outfit choices as I really felt like it reflected their personalities. Some couples want to be super dressy for all their outfits, which is fine, but if that’s not what you wear often then I usually recomend a more casual outfit. Plus the colors they chose looked just perfect on that central Texas sunset!

So take a peak at their engagement session and next week I will be sharing her bridal portraits!

Have a great week everyone ~ Shay

Marielle & Barrett-Wedding

2016-11-04_0057.jpg

We were so honored to shoot the wedding photography for Marielle and Barrett. Their Gatesville wedding was on an absolutely beautiful October day. The ceremony was at a local church and the reception was a few miles down the road at Texas Station Event Center It was a gorgeous hill country wedding setting, complete with old gas station signs and a gorgeous back patio, which made for a beautiful cocktail hour.

Their wedding colors were golds, all shades of it! Which made for a breathtaking day. Marielle was so creative and detailed oriented in the decor, she had tea cups, old wedding dresses, and all sorts of vintage trinkets adorning the tables. Y’all know me, I love anything that sparkles so this wedding was right up my alley!

The ceremony was full of laughter and happy tears, and everyone in the room just got that feeling that this is a love that would last forever. As Marielle was walking down the aisle, Barrett’s face just lit up, it was so cute! She looked absolutely gorgeous, so can you blame him?!

The reception was again, full of lots of laughter and tears. The toasts were given by the Matron of Honor, Annie and Barrett’s Dad. A delicious dinner of fajitas was served and of course the cake! Which was just as stunning as it was delicious!

Marielle and Barrett are just perfect for each other and I am truly sad that our time together is over. I so enjoyed getting to know them over the last few months and I hope to see them again soon!

Marielle & Barrett’s Wedding Sneak Peek

I was so honored to be able to do Marielle and Barrett’s wedding photography. Their wedding was nothing short of breathtaking! Their ceremony took place at Live Oak Baptist Church and the reception was a few miles down the road at Texas Station Event Center. I’ll be posting the full blog post next week, but for now enjoy some of my favorites!

Amber and Kenneth Engagements

Hello there! Amber and Kenneth were elementary school sweethearts who reconnected when they were older and now are getting married. How sweet is that! There session was my first of the year to do in cotton, here in rural south Texas, cotton season is one of my favorites! I just love cotton sessions, they are always gorgeous!

Raquel and Lance Engagements

Raquel and Lance were just the cutest couple ever, and the fact that they brought their dog was even better! They wanted something different, which I’m all about! So we started at the Flying Saucer because they enjoy patios and craft beers (I knew I instantly connected with them for a reason!) and then went on to Half Price Books because they are huge book fans, specifically Harry Potter. We could not stop laughing at Walker, who everytime I had Raquel and Lance kiss or show affection, would just walk away or litteraly close his eyes! It was the funniest thing I’ve ever seen! I had a wonderful Sunday morning capturing their very obvious love for each other and of course Walker.
